Bagi Anda yang mengunakan Kereta Api sebagai sarana transportasi, perlu memperhatikan hal-hal berikut ini:

1. Karcis
Pada saat di loket pastikan bahwa karcis yang anda terima sudah sesuai dengan tujuan anda. Karcis Jakarta-Bogor lebih mahal ketimbang karcis Jakarta-Lenteng Agung. Jika Anda bertujuan ke Bogor, pastikan setelah Anda membayar sesuai dengan harga Jakarta-Bogor yang di tangan Anda adalah Jakarta-Bogor, bukan Jakarta_lenteng Agung. Supaya Anda tak perlu adu mulut (tepat ga ya bahasanya?) dengan petugas jaga di pintu keluar stasiun Bogor.

2. Pengembalian
Belum tentu Anda mempunya uang receh setiap saat kan? Nah, ketika Anda membayar dengan uang yang nominalnya besar, telitilah sebelum memasukkan uang ke kantong Anda. Misalkan Anda membayar dengan uang Rp. 10.000 untuk karcis Jakarta-Lenteng Agung seharga Rp.3.500, kembalian Anda adalah Rp. 6.500 kan? Pasti Iya! Anak SD manapun pasti tau hitungan itu...gimana sih penulis nih?? hehe.. Kalau Anda buru-buru mengejar kereta, kembalian yang diberikan petugas karcis akan Anda langsung Anda taruh di kantong kan tanpa menghitung terlebih dahulu? Jika Anda diberikan 1 lembar seribuan dan 1 koin lima ratusan dalam kondisi terburu-buru, belum lagi pembeli dibelakang Anda juga sudah tidak sabar, apakah Anda akan ingat dengan jumlah kembalian Anda?

Coba bayangkan jika salah kasih tiket dan kurang pengembalian ini perhari 0,5 persen aja dari total populasi pengguna KAI, kira-kira berapa kerugian penumpang KAI? (ngambil kopi bentar..membayangkan..) Semoga oknum-oknum yang tidak bertanggung jawab bisa sadar..

At the ticket box make sure that the ticket that you received are in accordance with your destination. Jakarta-Bogor tickets are more expensive than a ticket from Jakarta to Lenteng Agung. If you are headed to Bogor, make sure after you pay the ticket prices, your ticket  is a Jakarta-Bogor route, not Jakarta-Lenteng Agung. So you do not have to debate with an officer at Bogor station exit.

2. Change
You are not always possessed a dime every time right? Well, when you pay with a large nominal, check before putting money into your pocket. Suppose you pay with Rp. 10,000 for a ticket from Jakarta to Lenteng Agung for Rp.3.500, your change is Rp. 6500 right? Yes definitely! Any elementary school children must know how to count it ... If you rush to catch the train, your change that the ticket officers give, will straight into your pocket right? Without counting it first? If you are given a sheet of one thousand and five hundred coin in a hurry, not to mention passenger behind you also can not wait, will you remember the amount of your refund?

Just imagine if the mistaken tickets and less change on one day is about 0.5 percent of the total user population KAI, approximately how many losses for the passenger rail? (coffee moment .. imagine ..) I hope the individuals responsible is realize this..

Tidung Island

Our trip starts in Muara Angke, a small harbor in North of Jakarta. At first, we try to hire a travel agency that guide and prepare everything for us in Tidung Island. That Travel agent ask us to be ready at 6 O'clock in Muara Angke. Wake up at 6 in the morning, make us cancel that trip with Travel agency. There goes my IDR. 270.000 down payment.

But, we try to go our self. It almost 9 O'clock when we arrive at Muara Angke. Travel agent said that only a single boat trip to Tidung Island per day. If that's true, than we'll sail to another island that departed from there. As we expected, there are two more trip to Tidung Island, that is at 10 AM and 1 PM. We had 10 AM, IDR 35.000 per person. The trip with boat takes about three hours. The boat was full with passenger, I kind a worry of our safety. Like sardine in there, we can't barely straighten our legs.

1.20 PM we arrived at Tidung harbor. The sand was white, water was clear. Finding a homestay was our priority before we had lunch. Alhamdulillah we have a good homestay, a television, a box of mineral water, air conditioner and two beds, that will do for us. It cost IDR. 200.000 per night. Our lunch was an ordinary meat ball, it was the best we can get. Mostly instant noodle food.

After that, we headed to Jembatan Cinta (Bridge of Love). Bridge of Love is a long bridge that connected Tidung Island Big and Tidung Island Small. I think about one kilo meter length. The bridge had wreck here and there, just be careful where you step at. In your right and left there are beautiful coral reefs that you can see through the clear water.

In Tidung Island Small there were only Conservation Research and a couple of cadger. Mangrove also a common sight in both island.  We spend two nights in Tidung Island. Back to Jakarta, I mean mainland, we use speedboat to Marina Harbor at Ancol. The cost was also IDR. 35.000 per person with a little snack for free. It was a little boat, for twenty passengers max. No sardine like. But this boat is preferred for the Island resident, if there is still vacant you may fill that seat. More comfortable if we use speedboat, just take the ticket from Marina Bay at 3 AM for 6 AM departures, at least that what other passenger said.

Can't wait another trip to other island.

Business Opportunity

Travel agent still have a good opportunity for Tidung Island. Not having any troublesome in vacation is an every tourist wishes. If the services are excellence spending a little bit expensive would be acceptable. Cottage and cushioned restaurant are the most urgent for tourist. There are a lot of homestay, but it feels like an ordinary house, there's no vacation like. Food also need to be more vary, it would be great if in the night we having barbeque of beef or lamb not only seafood, neither instant noodle.

That's only a little of thought.

Raja Ampat

The beauty of Raja Ampat is starting to be known. Consisting of 1500 island and atoll, also four large islands. Raja Ampat or ‘Four Kings’, is the name given to these islands and comes from a local myth. The four major islands found here are Waigeo, Misool (which is home to ancient rock paintings), Salawati, and Batanta. It's archipelago encompasses more than 9.8 million acres of land and sea off the northwestern tip of Indonesia’s West Papua Province. Located in the Coral Triangle, the heart of the world’s coral reef biodiversity, the seas around Raja Ampat possibly hold the richest variety of species in the world.

To enjoys this beautiful place you should pay an entrance fee, Rp 500,000/ person or US$ 55 for foreign visitor, as for Indonesian visitors from outside Raja Ampat Rp. 250,000 per person. Please do remember that Papua is malaria area and you are advised to take precautions and follow the advice from your local health center. Traveler’s health insurance is also recommended.

La Quinta Hotel & Inn

California has a lot of resort city, one of it is La Quinta. It lies between Indian Wells and Indio. La Quinta famous for it's golf resort and become a leading golf destination. If you want to became a professional golfer or just able to play it, you can find a lot of golf courses in there.

La Quinta was a Spanish language for the fifth, still don't quite sure it was the fifth of what, haven't found it yet. Anyway, La Quinta has a chain of limited service hotels, it called La Quinta Inn and Suites. It consist of La Quinta Inn, La Quinta Hotel, La Quinta Motel etc. This hotel chain is spread nationwide.

La Quinta hotels and motels are mid priced hotel segment. From what I've red, La Quinta Inns, hotel & motel were built with Southern architecture, but it's changing now to more modern style. Most of La Quinta has swimming pool and bar. For pet lover you'll love this place, because this hotel allow pets to accompany you without any additional pet fees nor deposit.
